Condolence & Memory Journal

Running across news of Anita's death has saddened my day. We were great friends back in the 60's when we were both teaching at Wayne Central. A talented musician and extraordinary singer, she organized a faculty-student singing group, of which I was a member, and we performed in many places. She also sang at my sister Nancy's wedding in 1966. As life goes, we pretty much lost touch after those sparkling days, but I will never forget her friendship, her talents, and her wonderful sense of humor. How we laughed in those days. My best to you, Hugh, and to your family.

Shocked to hear of Anita's passing. Loved getting together with her and Hugh whenever we vacationed in your area. She and Margaret were best friends. Anita sang at our wedding and was a delight to be with. Anita is in my and my family's prayers.

Mrs. Crowley was our music teacher at Macedon Elementary School. She was exuberant, kind and had a flare for fashion. The world will miss her light.

We're so saddened by the loss of such an amazing person. Mrs. Crowley was such a positive influence on me during my teenage years, the years when a positive influence was most needed. I raise my boys with a little bit of Mrs. Crowley in the back of my mind and I'm grateful my own children have friend's parents in their lives - their own Mrs. Crowley's! She was straight forward, encouraging, and kind. Her meals were something anyone who knew anything about cooking aspired to make as well, but mostly likely never could. Once in awhile, when we make lemonade at home, my boys call it fair lemonade, but undoubtedly they stole it - I still refer to it as Mrs. Crowley's lemonade. As Chris and I share stories of our most fondest memories we smile. What a wonderful woman! Our hearts go out to you all, Mr. Crowley, Chris, Sue, and Family.

Love, Chris and Sara Caffyn XOXO
